Drink less without quitting.

Not everyone wants to stop completely — and almost nothing is built for the people who just want to cut back. SoberDeck treats moderation as a first-class goal: set a weekly cap, log in one tap, and watch a calmer pattern take shape. Privately, on your phone, with no judgment about the target you chose.

01 — How it works

A weekly cap, not an all-or-nothing rule.

Moderation in SoberDeck is the same calm, one-tap habit as full sobriety — just measured against a limit you set instead of zero.

01

Set your cap

Choose a maximum number of drinks per week, or drinking days per week. Add an optional per-drink cost so savings can be tallied.

02

Log in one tap

Mark a day sober, or note how many drinks it took. No forms. Your week strip color-codes each day: sober, within goal, or over.

03

Watch it add up

Money saved is measured against the baseline you set, so cutting back adds up just like cutting out — real, motivating proof.

04

See your pattern

Week and month views show within-goal days as a trend, not a fragile streak. Progress you can actually see on the hard weeks.

05

Handle the cravings

Log an urge in one tap and name the trigger — riding it out counts whether your goal is less or none. More on cravings →

06

Switch anytime

Move between moderation and full abstinence whenever life changes — your entire history comes with you, nothing reset.

02 — Why moderation

“Less than last month” is real progress.

Most drinking trackers quietly assume one goal: total abstinence, starting today. But plenty of people begin somewhere smaller and just as valid — drink less — and find almost nothing built to support it. SoberDeck doesn't moralize about the target you set. Its job is to keep an honest count, color-code the week, and show you the trend.

  • No shame language. A day over your cap is information, never a red alarm.
  • Private by default. No account, no feed, no trackers — your logs stay on your iPhone.
  • One tool, both goals. Ease from moderation into abstinence — or back — without losing a thing.

03 — Questions

Moderation, answered honestly.

Can an app help me drink less instead of quitting?
Yes. SoberDeck's moderation mode is built for cutting back rather than stopping. You set a weekly cap — a maximum number of drinks or drinking days per week — and log each day in one tap. Your week strip color-codes every day as sober, within your goal, or over it, so progress is visible without any judgment.
How do I set a drinking limit in SoberDeck?
Choose moderation in onboarding (or switch to it anytime in settings) and set your cap by max drinks per week or max drinking days per week, with an optional per-drink cost. The app tracks each day against that goal and tallies the money you keep versus your old baseline.
Can I switch between moderation and total sobriety?
Anytime, in one tap — and your entire history comes with you. Nothing is reset or orphaned when you switch. Many people move between the two as life changes, and SoberDeck is designed for exactly that.
Is moderation safe for everyone?
Not necessarily. For some people, especially those with alcohol dependence, cutting down carries real risks — including withdrawal — and abstinence may be safer. SoberDeck is a tracking tool, not medical advice. Whether moderation or abstinence is right for you is a decision to make with a qualified healthcare professional.
